Pipeline Hydraulics Simulator

The referenced paper (save the thumbnailed link on the left pane as a .pdf file) presents a mathematical model of a steady-state operation of a hydrocarbon pipeline, and describes commercial computer software developed for steady-state pipeline hydraulics simulation. A project is currently under way for porting this software into a web-enabled application, enhancing both its core functionality and interfaces. Project status can be tracked on the project website referenced below.

The original version of the software can be provided under an academic or commercial license upon request.

Mathematical Model of Pipeline Cathodic Protection

The referenced article presents a mathematical model of industry-standard pipeline cathodic protection systems that provides for reliable recovery of pipeline corrosion and insulation status from the readings of a few field test potential measurements.

Based on the presented mathematical model, an industrial software package for aiding the design of new and upgrade of existing hydrocarbon pipelines was developed in late 90s.

Marmousi Velocity Model

Marmousi Velocity Model is a synthetic velocity model produced by the French Petroleum Institute and released to general public with the purpose of providing a complex velocity model that can be used for testing the efficiency of migration and velocity analysis algorithms. Here we present a Fortran programme that transfers hard and smooth Marmousi velocity models into a BP FreeDDS dataset.
